Boston, Mass. —

Ori, Inc., a creator of dynamic furniture powered by robotics, today announced availability for commercial developers in three East Coast markets: Greater Boston, the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and the New York metropolitan area.

“Over the last year people across the U.S. have been living with Ori furniture through our pilot program,” said Hasier Larrea, CEO and founder of Ori. “This time has given us the opportunity to perfect our Ori Full and Ori Queen models, which allow people to transform small living spaces with the tap of a finger into spacious bedrooms, comfortable living rooms, beautiful closets, and so much more.”

The Ori models in production feature more than 25 updates to the company’s pilot units, based on an analysis of consumer and commercial developer feedback. Enhancements include a manual mode that allows people to move their Ori furniture systems effortlessly in the event of a power outage, and cross-platform voice activation with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Ori’s production units also passed the rigorous safety testing protocols of Underwriters Laboratories, and received UL Certification.

“We’re confident that commercial developers will love Ori,” added Larrea. “Our pilot program across 10 cities showed us that renters genuinely enjoy living with Ori’s dynamic furniture, and are willing to pay a premium for an Ori-equipped apartment.”

Developers in Boston, D.C., and New York City are already installing Ori’s production units in their buildings.

“People living in Boston want spaces that are adaptable to their day-to-day lives,” said Sabrina Sandberg, vice president of marketing & merchandising at Samuels & Associates. “Expanding the number of Ori-equipped apartments at Continuum in North Allston will allow more of our renters to make the most of their spaces, whether they want to open up a room for exercising or entertaining friends, or create more intimate spaces for working, dining, or sleeping.\"
